Default Oil Filter

For the oil filter in my 1996 ES300, should which one should I use:

A. Wix Oil Filters
B. Toyota Filters from dealership
C. Fram
D. any other suggestions?

I'm Going to be Using MOBIL1 5w-30 synthetic oil and I need to know which one would be good. I've found Wix to be really good on Hondas, but I don't really know anything about my new car. Thanks for the help.

You might find this an interesting read on oil filters. I use the K&N Gold personally or Toyota dealer filter. I've tried the new design black cased Mobile 1 with success.

Eh, get the Mobil 1 filter if you can find it. If not, Toyota OEM.

If you can't find either, just hold off the oil change and order a few to your door for this change and the many, many others to come.

WIX or Toyota OEM?

I've decided against Mobil1(overpriced) and Fram (bad reviews)

So I've narrowed it down to a Wix and Toyota OEM. I don't really know anything about Toyota OEM filters, but I do know that with my last car, choosing OEM was not a good choice. I'm leaning towards a WIX and I wanted to know if anybody has any strong preferences?

I just bought a Fram High Mileage filter with TRT for vehicles over 75000 miles. Does anyone know if this is good for my car?

States on the back of the box:

The TRT additive gel dissolves slowly into the oil as you drive, and flows back into the engine to protect against corroive wear, deposites, and viscosity buildup.

May also want to take a look at using an oversized filter as the 1MZFE ESs use the same filter as the RX300, https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=295468
