Default Anyone ever use 76 Synthetic Blend motor oil?

Hey guys, I just found some 76 Super Synthetic Blend at all places, Big Lots. Doing a little Christmas "stocking stuffer" shopping, and ran across it. Its only $1.67 per QT. It’s a 5w-30 too?

Here is more info on it http://www.76lubricants.com/GF4.htm (this one shows 5w-20 but like I said, the one at Big Lots is 5w-30).

Anyone every use this? For $1.67 I think its a good deal. Thoughts?????

Cool

Sounds like a cheap blend @ sub $1.50 a quart, it's most likely only a 10% synthetic blend. For $1.75 you can get mobil1 7500 - which is also a blend & will easily kick that cheap stuff's ***.

IMHO Spend $18 at wallmart for a jug of Mobil1 Synthetic. It's not that much more money for one quart of the best oil that can easily be bought anywhere & 5 quarts of cheap $1.50 a quart stuff.

A synthetic blend at $1.76 does sound inexpensive. However, I would ask a larger question about what you want the oil to do. If you are looking for a longer drain interval, I'm not sure that this is the way to go. This oil will probably need changing at about the interval as a conventional oil. If you believe that this oil provides better protection than conventional oil and are content with an equivalent drain interval, this may be a good choice. You may want to read some of the Motor Oil Bible and some work on oil filters by Robert Knize. Google either of these titles and you'll get plenty of links. Hope this helps. Good luck.
