How to: Seafoam

Where I got confused is that I am supposed to add 1/3 bottle to the PVC hose, but the thing is that the engine is supposed to stall. So it's supposed to stall before I finished adding the 1/3 bottle, or after I added the bottle it has to stall right away, and if it doesn;'t I need to turn it off right away? Another question is that some people add it in the break line, what does that give?

Okay, but when I am pouring the 1/3 bottle of seafoam into my vacuum line, do I need to ask someine to rev my engine --> if so, to what rpm?
So putting it in the PCV Hose or in the brake booster gives the exact same outcome? And you're saying it's better to put it into the brake booster and the PCV Hose. Thing is, I heard it can hydrolock the engine which is what I am worried about

It won't hydrolock. I did it twice to mine and my friends engine. Both have the same engine layout and both are working great. Need to redo mine since I put less than 1/3 into it
Keep this in mind though. I went from 265 miles a tank to 300+ miles after this so I think its worth overcoming your fears

I seen this product called berryman, is this similiar to Seafoam?
Its like half the price 3 and some change, Seafoam almost $6 bucks.
Just curious if anyone knows,
BTW just did another Seafoam through the Brake Booster. Very Happy No Problems

Question:
Where does all the carbon and gunk go once you use the seafoam? Does it get clogged up in your oil pan screen or your cat converter? I mean all that crap has to go somewhere?

ok one last time before i do this,
1. buy seafoam
2. put 1/3 in a cup for the vacuum line (car shuts off when 1/3 is gone)
3. pour 1/3 in the gas tank
4. pour the rest in the oil
5. wait 10 min start and let all the white smoke out
6. change oil
is that all right or is something wrong?

However, don't go 3000 more miles with it in the oil either. Somewhere in the happy middle is fine.

Just finished a treatment in my car.
1996 ES300 115,000 miles
1 & half cans through gas tank with fresh fuel.
Another half a can through the brake booster line in two back to back sessions.
All followed by a smoke screen that would make Copperfield jealous and a 10 minute spirited driving run around

Hey, bump for the Seafoam questions. I just read it all, and I am clear on it and sold, except for one question.
Is it necessary to be romping around on your car to until the smoke is gone? Or can I just let it idle in the driveway for 20 min? I have to be nice to my car, it's got 242K on it, and it's not necessarily in the best shape to be stepping on it all the time. Not at least until I get the timing belt and junk done.
