Knock sensor location
Help!
I have a code 52 on a 92 lexus es 300. I read on the board that the knock sensors were under the intake, however after removing the intake they are not there. I know this is dumb but I cant see them anywhere there or on the side of the block. The 94 camry info also shows them under the intake.
What am I missing?
TIA'

Upper Intake Air Chamber
Intake Manifold
Tada!
See the two wires in the middle of the screen? One screws into each bank.
95% of the time the wiring is damaged. Knock sensors are a piezeo on a stick. Not really much for them to go bad.

Pictures from replacing the head gaskets, porting & polishing the heads/exhaust manifold/intake manifold/UIAC, deleting EGR, modding ACIS, installing the SMT-6, intake manifold spacer. God knows what else, I can't remember. Last September / October. Took a couple of weeks to do everything, but parts failure after parts failure kept it from running much through January.
Two timing belts, screwed cam timing directions, dieing fuel pump in January (I think). It sucked *** took forever. It was soooo worth it tho LoL!
