I changed my battery 3 weeks ago. The seat memory was not erased. The radio station program was not erased. The clock was not reset. There was no change in idling speed.

When I bought my car, I removed the battery to clean off corrosion. I forget how long I had it out of the car for, but it was definitely more than a few hours. I then put it back in and had the negative cable disconnected for at least a few weeks. This was while I was repairing the valve cover seals. When I finally got to start it up for the first time, the car ran great with no idling issues.
