My baby got hit !! :(
What a terrible traumatic experience ..! I was at work....I get a phone call at 3::00PM..."Hi, I THINK I've hit your car"...I rush to the window and this little chevy aveo was parked infront of my car....it didn't look bad from where I was standing...thoughts about my precious paint being scratched were flashing in my head as I ran down the stairs...elevators are too slow....
Anyways, SOMEHOW...she managed to hit me while coming out of the parking spot beside me...I was parked DEAD center...she made contact around the fender region and managed to scrape the entire length of her passenger side before coming loose. The maneuver must have generated tremendous noise, the little aveo was FORCED....How you could manage to cause so much damage while coming out of the parking lot is beyond me. The only positive aspect about the whole incident is the fact that she was honest enough to call me...but then we work in the same building and there were people watching the whole incident...
So basically, the front bumper is cracked/smashed, the front left headlights and signal lights are smashed and on the ground...the fender is wrecked. The car goes in to Lexus on Monday for required work. I'm heart broken...I still fill in any stone chips regularly, I hand wash my car in WINTER to get the salt off atleast once a week...I never skimp on maintenance...this has really shaken me up!

ssultan, it could of been worse.. im puzzled that she actually called you to tell you that she hit your car.????
over here, that would be the last thing some one would do here. I left my soarer for 15 minutes to look at an apartment and come back to see the whole drivers rear panel being side swiped. just before that i seen some d**kheads doing burnouts and thrashing their *****house van around the block.

Thanks guys...I just had to let it out...hence the long post! I ended up filing a police report - that being the law I was told for damages exceeding $1000. The insurance company has been superb...they've approved my claim within 48 hours of my phone call. The car goes into the local Lexus dealer for repairs Monday...I'll keep you posted.
