If this is the a/c compressor(circled)? If not does anyone know what it is..

I think its the a/c compressor, but I'm not 100%.

OK, I just got the car back from the shop and it is the a/c compressor. They also want to change the dryer and some other stuff. The grand total is(drumroll) $986.00 plus tax!! But screw it, I NEED ac!!

Way too much for an A/C fix, that's just about the same price as a Lexus 90K service. There are plenty of other auto A/C repair shops to look around.
