Default Need rims on wifes es300..suggestions??

I want some 17" rims that FIT a 94' es3 without rubbing, suspension issues or spacers.
The car is champaigne color and I thought of the is3 rims but the fitment issues scare me..
Budget is 1k for this ride and chrome is preferred but i also like silver rims or polished
Any help would be appreciated.

Use a 17x7 +40-45 offset. A perfect offset for that year ES would be +42 or+43 for both front/back. Are you looking for a specific look? Mesh, multi spoke, etc?

I was actually open to mesh or any style as many look nice on the car.. I tend to like mesh on the es for some reason.. maybe because some of our members have nice set-ups...
BTW - I will keep in mind the proper offset.. many sellers say rims fit the es then they list offsets as low as 35..
18's are my preference but the wifey wants ride quality maximized with looks...

Those wheels look very nice and just right on your ES. I especially like the deep dish look

One question (a little off-topic): Are those side mouldings located between the top and bottom tone of your ES? Did they come with the car when you purchased it? I've never seen those mouldings before on a '97-'01 ES.

Thanx. The side moldings came with the car.I bought it straight from the Lexus hawaii dealership 2nd hand. Do the those moldings not come on the 97-01 models?

As far as I know, the side mouldings only come with the '02+ ES. Just seems a bit odd seeing it on a '97-'01 ES, let alone a 2-tone vehicle. Has your vehicle ever been in an accident before? I'm guessing the side mouldings must have been installed by a body shop who didn't realize they don't come as factory with our gen ES

I have it too... even my sister's ES has the same thing as mine.. and we brought it brand new.. hers is 2000 and mine is 1998. I saw a lot of ES with the molding on the same place. So it shouldn't be the misplace of the body shop

You don't need to bro; I was just making a comment saying how odd it is to see that feature on a '97-'01 ES like yours and George's. It sounds like it's a somewhat typical Hawaiian ES fluke (or whatever you call it, no stereotypes)

That's funny you mention that because my friend who shipped his 94 ES from Hawaii to here in CA came the exact same way. He had those color keyed side mouldings on the doors. I believe it's a port installed option like how Gulf States Toyota and Southeastern States Toyota (distributors) sell their Toyotas and Lexus with forced port installed packages i.e. ugly pinstriping, extra moulding, non OEM painted mudguards, non OEM replica wheels, alarm packages and etc. As for that moulding, that is not factory from Japan. It's port installed options by the distributor. Gives us people who live in states that deals directly with Toyota Motor Sales USA an advantage to factory fresh cars...unlike those who have no choice to buy from their dealership that is serviced by a Toyota distributor.

Hey there - I have a 1994, ES300 and I have factory side grey moldings. I believe that '90 to '00 have factory side molds, and they changed to one colour after 2000. I'm thinking of changing the colour of my car (emerald green/grey) to pearl white/pearl silver on the mold to keep the two tone for the year and model.
I'm not sure yet. I have black leader interior and looking to tint my windows but don't know about % of tint.
Also I have factory rims and looking to keep 18". Where can I see diff rim types for my car. Thx )

Gotta any suggestions.

Hey 2hot, I think you're confusing the side mouldings I've discussed in my posts with the 2-tone color pattern on the ES. The side mouldings are highlighted in the picture I attached below (using Lexus007's ES as an example). Also, the 2-tone pattern was discontinued starting with the 2002 ES model.
