Question New Remote Keyless key?

Well, my new (used) Lexus has everything in beautiful shape EXCEPT...the guy lost the remote keyless key. so all i have are the two "normal" keys. However, being the perfectionist that I am, I figure, if it has the feature, why not use it? So.. what is the procedure to getting a new key for the remote keyless entry, what kind of cost is involved, etc? .. other than that, i'm very pleased! oh, also i replaced that bulb and the indicator light went away. Thanks! :-D

Hey Andrew,

Glad I could be of some help for fixing up the tailight bulb problem for your ES

Onto the key issue. I believe for your year ES (1994 model), the remote master keyless entry was not introduced until the '95 model (to you or anyone else: please correct me if I'm wrong). Thus, that is why you have 2 non-remote keys.

As far as finding a place to order extra keys, there's this online vendor that's highly recommended by CL for Lexus parts and accessories. It's called Lexus-parts.com, and you can find all the key info from that website here. You get a 10% discount if you type in "CL911M" in the 'Discount' box at checkout. This is where I purchased a valet key for my ES months ago when it only came with a remote master key.

Hope this helps

Actually, you know what... my bad...

I guess I didn't look hard enough on the lexus-parts.com website. They actually sell a 2-master key combo set for the '94 ES that looks like this:

The part number is 89705-50947-RK, and the vendor's listed price is $331.00. That explains the volume control from your last post

It'd be nice to order the 2-key set since you'd always have an extra master key handy just in case you lost one.
