I've outrun many 2k Preludes before
The SH is one of the slower models actually... its not as fast as the Type-S? or whatever the other one is...

There isnt a Type-S in the states, only in japan. 5th gen ludes(97+) run low 15's stock, and high 14's with basic bolt-ons. (I/H/E). And the base model lude is actually faster than the SH, due only to weight. Since the Sh has special handling, it puts it at a weight disadvantage.
EDIT: Those times are 5 spd models. I've seen the auto ludes run as bad as low 16 sec 1/4. BTW, Ludes weight in at right about 3k pounds.

...Anyhow, I wasnt suggesting you wern't as fast as a PRElude, it just seemed like you were misinformed about them.(type-S)

I tested by 96 sc300 last week with only K&N air filter. The rest of the car are in stock with only 55,000 miles. 1/4 miles only took 15.2 second. I believed that all sc300 should run around 15 second because all supra N/A runs 15 seconds. You might want to turn off traction control, overdrive, and power up your transmition to run on red line.
P.S. Don't run with Eclipse/3000GT, they made bad engine. It doen't last that long. After three years, you can feel the car run much weeker.

this one time at band camp can i come and race the preludes and eclipses for ya/?...i need to measure my 0-60....the sc can hit over 180 in the right conditions with a little more hp....Jeff

DirectQL, first off the GS-T is fwd not awd, the GSX is the AWD version.....
Second the GSX would take you off the line but slow at speed due to it weighing 3100lbs, only being a 5cyl and the AWD so you would rape it after 60ft, GS-T would do the exact opposite since it weighs less and is only fwd(2wd) (both cars run in the 15's stock turbochrged).
Honda Prelude SH Curb Weight 3020lbs, SC300 auto is about 3450 so a slight weight advatnage, it looses in 2 main areas, its fwd vs your RWD, it has CRAP for torque *152ft0lbs vs your 230 or so, and its torque is peaky where yours is broad andsomewhat flat. but i would say this is a close race, SH 5spd stock will run a mid to high 15.

It really isn't, its sorta quick (since its rather light)
its more meant for twisties since it is so light, not so much straight line speed.
it has decent acceleration, but after about 60, it doesn't pull all that hard.

It really isn't, its sorta quick (since its rather light)

I have a 92 5speed sc300 magnaflow exhaust n some aftermarket intake
But its feels so slow still anybody know next mod yo go that will increase acceleration
Also is anybody else doin 100 mph at 8000 rpm seems weird I can acelerate pass 8k
