that's cool man, i think i've read people pulling like 14.9 or 15.0's with stock or near stock 5 speed scs.. definetly lower tire pressure will help, how where the 60fts?

I personally think 15.4 is very respectable for a na 5 speed sc, i mean like you said that's more then a full second off your 1/4..

once you have boost it'll all be good

Yea man there is a guy on SF who ran a 14.9 with his n/a supra i asked him how and he said he beat the hell out of it..LoL

my 60fts sucked ballzzz
2.440 when i ran 15.4

i will jus lower my tire pressure next time and hope for 15.0's
but boost is in my future so i aint trippin at all..lol

lower the tire pressure next time you will def. run better. I had mine in the lower 20's the first time I went to the track.

I will make sure i do it, it was last min so i never lowered the tire pressure, but what did u run at the track??

Nate 15.4 is very respectable! Especially with a bad launch and bad tire pressure. I'd like to see that down to 15.0

Running a better tire will help with your traction issues.

Thanks, im lookin forward to getting it to low 15's and if im lucky maybe hit a 14.9....i will jus continue on workin on my launch and run lower tire pressure.

Yea, Drag Radials would help but i didnt think i really needed them cuz i dont have enough power.

Well honestly the 275's give me traction but when ur on a sticky drag strip wit 40psi of pressure on street tires, im sure u will have traction issues no matter if u have 215's or 315's

I Ran three years ago at 14.56 and two years past I make 14.72 (First year I had a Water pump problem, shaft play in water pump, and second year Alternator problem, Overcharge Computer and odor of eggs!!!! )

the third year I didn't race with my soarer


This year i will try to make better time at 1/4 mile!

I have just 1JZ fully Stock!!

Not bad man. I ran 15.2 Had nothing but header and BFI. I had trouble with traction also lol.

The only time I've run my car at the dragstrip, my best was a 15.4 at 93. I was having slight traction (and reaction time) issues, but was really impressed with the trap speed for having a stock motor.
