Huh, didn't know they were doing that today. I might have planned to go. Oh well.

i've contemplated following either urs or scott's setup for the V8, but i've decided on swapping out for a LS7.
Thanks. I'm a Lexus V8 guy but you can't go wrong with an LS7. Easy to make tons of power!

Nah, I've made it this far on the stock ECU. I wouldn't mind the Adaptronic and that is a hell of a deal.

Considering my previous best 1/4 is 12.51, I don't think I'll have much problem getting 11.9's.

nice times though man!
Thanks. We really need to meet up at Darlington some night. I actually have a rain check to run there. Zmax will be open this coming Friday if you feel like making the drive.

No problem. About 12psi. PI Dragon with about a 3000 stall. I broke it once already.

Most of the calculators come up with about 400rwhp so somewhere around there. Car weighs about 3600lbs with me in it, give or take.

Stock tranny with an IPT valve body, IPT rebuild kit and an IPT second gear sprag. Also have the no4 solenoid disconnected. I think that solenoid alone is likely responsible for the death of a few a340's.

I'll be running again next Friday if the weather co-operates. Maybe Saturday at Darlington if Friday doesn't work out. I'll try and post the slips sometime soon just haven't had the chance.

Supra Torsen LSD. Supra turbo struts. Swift springs. Megan traction rods. TME rack bushings. Prothane sway bar bushings. Everything else is stock. Mikey Thompson DR's.

Coming Friday - Prothane CA bushings front and rear. Tokico Illuminas (Supra) with the same Swift springs. Megan rear toe rods. Supra front and rear strut tops.

Yes, leave with brake boost. Seems to 60ft best leaving at about 2600rpm, anything more and it bogs. With the 3000rpm stall it leaves a little room for flash I guess. I've never really been able to launch consistently. My runs yesterday varied from the 12.06 to 12.3's mostly due to varied 60ft times. Trap speed was always about 115mph.

KA8 - if you search my username, you'll find my many threads. Most of them are a jumbled mess and missing pics though. If you have any specific questions you can PM me and I'll do my best to get back to you.

Scott - thanks! I didn't get to run on Friday like I had hoped. The bushing/shock install took waaaaaaaaaayy longer than expected and they called it off due to weather anyway.

Was hoping to run 1/8 today but looks as though it's gonna rain again.

WHen is the next run KC? I don't doubt you will make it into the 11's. Your setup is well balanced.

I hope to catch up to your runs with some of mine soon....

I will tell you the same thing I've more or less told Scott. If your car isn't faster than mine (by allot even) I would be very disappointed. LOL. My SC400 is a daily driven beater in comparison. LOL.

With all the time, money, effort, thought ect.. put into both of your cars and the power you guys should in theory be making, I hope to see AT LEAST 10's if not 9's. The calculators say a 3600lb car with 800hp can do 9.6.

My next run, maybe Thursday night, 1/8 mile. Not sure when I'll be able to run the 1/4 mile again. The one 1/4 track that is 20 minutes away is hardly ever open and the others are 2 hours away. It always seems to rain when I can make the drive.

New personal best although still not 11's. Went 12.047 at 114.48 last night at Darlington.

Slips can be seen here - http://www.dragtimes.com/Lexus-SC400...lip-16866.html If you follow the link, vote for my car!

I really think this run should have been a sub 12 second pass. Not sure if Darlington is a "slow" track or if Zmax is a "fast" track but if you compare to the run on post 1, the top end time should have been much better. The 60 and 1/8 times were both WAY better. So either the track or something happened with the car on the top, not sure.

Anyway, still confident I'll get 11's in the near future. If I don't, I might have to hit a 50 shot on the top end. I want it pretty bad! I cursed and stomped the ground after that run. LOL.
