Exclamation 13.251 @ 105.34 1/4 mile UPDATED 13.094 @ 105.43 1/4 mile with IS350!"

Update: my latest run at 13.094 is at post 52.

I met up with Combfilter today in Ennis, TX to do some 1/4 mile runs. The climate wasn't optimum (high humidity, falling barometric pressure), but we both got good times. I don't know what Combfilter got after I left, but my best run (out of 4) is below. My 60', 1/8 mile, and 1/8 mile trap speed wasn't as good as 2 weeks ago at the other track despite the traction being MUCH better, so I expect my times would have been better with similar conditions. This was also the 1st run of the day, and each run after that got slower, so I left early.

I'm going to guess that the custom piggyback ECU also played a big role in the times...can't wait til you go into production with it...

I should clarify that I did remove a bunch of typical items to reduce weight, but not any seats or interior panels. I removed the spare tire, floor mats, glove box contents, engine shroud, and run with 1/8 tank of gas. I also raised my front tire pressures to 50 PSI, and reduced my rear tire pressures to 29 PSI. I'm alsu running a smaller diameter rear tire that improves gearing by about 3.7%.

The piggy-back hasn't been in use since my exhaust upgrade. My stock exhaust had the WBO2 sensor in it, and I haven't figured out what my new solution is going to be.

I don't see how you can say you ran a 13.2. I test drove a 350 a few weeks ago and it could barely pull a greasy string out of a cats ***. My S4 ran a 13.9 and it is waaaaaaaaaaaaaay faster than any IS I have ever driven.

I'm running a 255/35-18 instead of the OEM 255/40-18. This reduces the diameter by 1", and makes it the same height as the OEM front. Here's a comparison of thrust vs speed between the 2 tires sizes. The green areas show where the smaller tire generates more thrust, and the red zreas are where the OEM tire generates more.

I can't quite tell if you are doubting my honesty here, or not. I assure you, I'm not lying. Actually, there are quite a few IS350s running low 13's on DragTimes, and mine is NOT the fastest. Of course, the best time is from an IS350 that has extensive weight reduction and drag radials.

Gernby, impressive time. You think going with smaller wheels (15 inch) will get you into the high 12s?

Nice job Gernby!! I'm so glad to see more and more people running low 13's. There will always be doubters, but time slips don't lie! Also glad to see you bumped up the front tire pressures. That is exactly what I do, but I haven't tried higher than 45psi.

I'm certain 15" wheels wouldn't fit over the rear brakes, and I'm not totally sure if 16" wheels would fit. The smallest that would definitely fit would be 17". If I had a light weight 17" wheel and a 255/35-17 drag radial, I'm certain I could get into the 13.1's, but I don't have any idea if I could get down to 13.0's. That would probably require more weight reduction like Roro has done.
