I changed out the low beam H11 headlights with some LEDs I bought online.
They are just as bright as stock, but much whiter.

Sweet dude! LED headlight tech is catching up quick. Hopefully they'll end up replacing Halogen. HIDs are great but heavier than Halogen.

I like this... I will definitely get LED's before the hid's I was on the fence about what to get for the CT.

Who cares, even if it weights a couple pounds more [and even that is an exaggeration]?

I'd rather my car have a pound more of weight added to the car for bulbs I'd never have to change again, and better lighting...

If you mean just turning the switch to "auto" and the lights turning on automatically when it gets dark then no. No problems with the auto setting for your headlights.

You're really selling me on these. I was just thinking about the whole HID thing and having to tuck a ballast somewhere, yet with these bulbs + the OE projector, it seems to be hard to beat... the comparison shots really show the "true" perspective...

I'd go for these LEDs rather than HID. Seems to be similar light output, but no extra boxes to mount.

Can you see at night? I tried cree led on my z and I couldn't see crap. Sure on pictures it looked bright and cutoff was awesome but real world testing showed its worthlessness

I see the exact same with these LEDs and halogens except the contrast.
The yellow light is easier to see when there is ambient light around from streetlights, but in as dark of locations I could find the illumination was the same.
Just being able to see the light turn objects yellow did not mean the halogen was brighter.

The real world use of these LEDs shows they work just fine as headlights in the CT. The distance was the same as objects down the street were just as visible with the halogens or the LEDs. The real world illumination you get for safety was the same between the halogen and LED.
The pictures show this.

The reason they work great in the CT could be the projector magnifying lense and housing. Other cars with different kind of reflectors or projectors will probably project the light differently.
Basically every car you use these on need to be tested, but I know they work the same as halogens on the CT.
Working on the CT does not mean they will work on other cars with different kinds of housings.
