I dont think so... i had attempted to look into it a while back, but i think the tax credit is reserved for plug-in hybrids and full electric vehicles, unfortunately.

You can still claim the tax paid on a new car for income tax deduction purposes. In case you weren't aware

Yup. That's the only thing you can claim. And registration fees every year after that each year...

Really sucks that we can't get a hybrid tax credit and it even sucks more that we can't even get a damn HOV sticker. Oh well, at least we have the best looking and sportiest hybrids on the road.

:-( oh well I wish it was fast anyway. I'd love to see some one throw a gt28 and 3-6 psi at it.

The tax credits and HOV stickers were put in place to incentivize early adopters of alternative fuel technology. It gets the fire going until more people learn about the technology and are willing to buy these vehicles. The incentives do work. Nearly every mainstream car manufacturer is adding new hybrids to their line up because people are buying them, even without incentives. You can't incentivize old technology forever...the money is better spent on incentivizing newer and/or cleaner technology like plug-in hybrids, electric vehicles, and hydrogen fuel cells to name a few.

Incentives and tax credits for non-plug-in hybrids might still be available in some states. Here in California, we're out of luck.

It's too bad that the CT200h does get a tax incentive even though it gets amazing mileage. Thanks for the info about the hov sticker though.
