Default Ct200h door rattle

My Ct200h (UK model) has an annoying rattle apparently "inside" the driver door. Right next to me, and so really annoying. And yes, I would say door rather than window though I know these things are subjective.

The dealer is being helpful and they have swapped out the window guide and visually checked noise padding etc, but it is still there...

Possibly sound is worst on start up, and gets better with driving, but I mostly do short trips and invariably go from bumpy (rattling) local roads to smoother highways so am still confirming that.

Anyone out there with a similar problem? Any tips? I have seen door rattle threads for other models, but not the Ct200h

Thanks all

PL

I have the same issue, I just haven't done anything about it yet. I have a '12 F Sport SE, 26k miles, and 90% of the roads are in really good condition (relatively few pot holes). With a tighter suspension, I've come to expect a few rattles over time here and there. There is a lot of plastic holding the panels on, so it only takes a little bit of wear to get the annoying rattles that we are experiencing.

I asked to have this issue addressed at the time of the first oil change. By the time the technician got around to checking for a rattle the car had been indoors long enough that he couldn't replicate the problem.

Next Tuesday the dealer is picking up my car (and dropping off a loaner) to have the intake manifold replaced. I'm going to ask the fellow who'll be driving my car back to the dealer to listen for the rattle.

I have the same thing on my 12 F Sport SE but only the drivers door and I only notice it leaving my office underground parking garage. I think it is so quiet the noise is more noticeable. Once on the street I do not hear it. It is more like a soft creak or grinding.

you have to make sure to replicate it on a bumpy road

I may just sell it and get a new Mazda 3 Grand Touring.....I think I can make money on the deal. That will pay for the mileage difference.

Does it sound like a grinding noise? Mine does but seems like it's more in the front windows. It does not vary with different road or weather conditions, rather, it is essentially always there.

(I posted a separate discussion/thread on it.)

I would pull the door panel myself and fix this in 10 minutes. no need to take it to a dealer. It's probably something really simple requiring a little bit of insulation (padding).
