Covercraft UVS100 Custom Fit Sunshade Review
Hello everyone,
I just purchased the Covercraft UVS100 sunshade from Amazon, and I felt that I should let you know about how great it is. You can find the product from .
The weird thing about ordering this from Amazon was that it took 1-2 weeks to ship even with Amazon Prime. The product arrived in a white box along with a catalog from Covercraft.
Upon test-fitting the sunshade in the car, I found that both sides of the sunshades have small 1-2 inch flaps that open up to cover the remainder of the windshield. As you insert the sunshade, the flaps can't stay open due to the clearance from the side pillars. Once the flaps are opened, the sunshade provides great coverage across the windshield. Interestingly enough, the sunshade can stand on its own without throwing down the sun visors, but I flip them down anyways for more support.
My only concern is that there is a large open area in the center by the rear view mirror. I guess Covercraft was not able to enlarge the middle section due to the clearance to pass under the rear view mirror.
Putting on and off the sunshade is not that bad, but the size of the folded shade does become a bit of an issue if you have a few passengers because the folded shade doesn't fit between any gaps and thus needs to be thrown in the back seat or in the back. From the past couple hot days, I have found a significant difference in the temperature of the cabin, especially on the seats themselves.
Overall, the Covercraft UVS100 sunshade works great in the Ct200h and is a must have in hot climates. The price is a bit high at $44-$50, but it is a great investment in protecting your car.
