Default F-Sport grills with a twist :D

So I liked the F sport grills much better than the original grills but from the factory the upper is painted gunmetal and the lower is just black plastic not coated (probably because its lower to the ground, more rock chips etc) but it annoyed me either way.

I originally wanted to get the grills chrome plated, CTS-V style. But I got quotes for $1100+ ouch

So I chose a silver that was slightly darker than the interior silver pieces, and had my body shop spray and bake them.

I figure it'll be a love it or hate it thing, no in between. But I think it'll look great against the starfire pearl paint. Can't wait to get them on! (This weekend)

LoL

I stole the idea from the LF-LC also. The spindle grill on that is silver not Chrome as it appears in some renderings.

Had some spare time. Got it on start to finish in under an hour.
I love the way it looks on there!

I know the plate looks terrible on there, but the plate bracket was screwed Into the bumper and there are two nasty holes when I remove it. Ugh

NY law to have two plates. And Lexus didnr really provide options for mounting the plate so I guess that's what they had to do. I completely forgot when I bought the car to tell them not to mount the plate bracket in the first place. Sucks for me, gunna cost $$$ to have the bumper resprayed after I grind and fill the holes. Ohh well

This company Bumper Plugs (http://bumperplugs.com/BPindex.html)
offers plugs to fill the holes for $24.95 a pair. Have used one set for a bumper and the one to fill in the driver's door lock on another car and they look great. I know its not the same as filling and repainting the bumper but the cost is alot less.

Thanks. I had them on my s2000 they were okay.
I just ordered a set for now until I get a chance to shave the holes properly.

Thanks! Car is obviously a mess. Hate winter here in NY! But here's a quick shot with the bumper plugs covering the plate bracket holes.
