Default 50,000 miles/60 months services for $1985 a good deal?

Dealership is offering me that package but I thought it was a bit high compared to my IS250.

She was quoting me $100+ on average 5k service, even though I thought CT was on 10k interval due to synthetic oil.

Can anyone chimed in who has had services.

Greatly appreciated.

Expensive for oil changes and tire rotations.....and a bunch of inspect this and inspect that. Find a qualified Lexus mechanic (trained to work on hybrid battery) and save yourself a lot of money.

yea what he said,

lets see oil change could cost you 70 dollars the most. X5, 350 dollars... 700 if your like me and planning on doing 2 oil changes at 5k and 10k.

tire rotation is free if you live near a discount tire place. or less then 20 bucks. so x5 100 dollars... or 200 dollars if you plan on doing it 2 times a year.

cabin air filter you could pretty much do your self, open the glove box put it out replace with new one. you'll probably do this 1 time at like 40k or 50k miles. cost of cabin filter ranges from 10-30 dollars.

then Air Filter is like 40 dollars or less, and that's one time in the 50k miles, which even a technically incline person could do this on a ct200h, it's right in the front easy to do.

also throw in a regular engine inspection at like every 2 years which you could get for free during your oil change.

so this pretty much sums up the entire maintenance they will do.

lets add it up

350
100
30
40

520 dollars.

970 if you do things twice like i will...

Ya I've decided to retract from that offer, just didn't sound right to me as I thought there was additional stuff needed for the hybrid.

Thanks for the input.

I just bought a CASE of oil filters for 55.00 that's ten oil changes. Mobil one 0w20....is about 25.00. So an oil change is about 31.00......
Tire rotations I do myself takes about fifteen minutes tops. Two jacks.....I like to inspect brake shoes while doing this also.
Cabin air filters are simple as noted. 6.99 on ebay. Air filter for engine is easier...... 13.71 at Rock Auto.

oil for 50k = 310.00.......@5k miles intervals or 155.00 @10k intervals.
Air filter every 25k = 13.71 x 2 = 27.42
cabin filter every 25k 6.99 x 2 = 13.98
= 352.00 total over 50k.......that is changing oil every 5k. 10 k you save 155.00 so under 200.00.

Buy two floor jacks.....a bucket a cheap shop vacuum.....some soap and loads of wax and still save a small fortune. The computer codes are fairly easy to check. (posted here somewhere)
Tire pressure? seriously - you could also buy a air compressor from harbor freight. Still save a bundle....and getting intimate with your car priceless.

My dealership does the first two oil changes FREE.

When I had my IS250, I buy my own oil (Mobil 1 synthetic) @ Walmart and go to a toyota dealer. Total cost, ~$50. I will do the same for my CT.
