Default XM radio volume

Just wondering if this is normal - the XM is barely audible at "regular" radio volumes. So I have to turn the volume **** well into the 40's to get it to something in the 20's on regular radio. And of course when you switch back to regular radio from listening to XM, it's crazy loud

Is there any way to adjust this? Haven't found the answer on the forum or manual yet.

TIA!

when the display shows your XM presets look in the bottom left corner and you should see 2 buttons stacked: sound and ASL or something like that. click on sound and adjust it. you have to customize the sound for each input meaning for: AM, FM, SAT, CD and whatever else you have. it would be nice if it had generic all around settings but it doesn't.

hope this helps....that's what i did in my GX470

Unfortunately, volume level wise, it seems that there is only one universal volume setting, so if you set the XM to 40, it will blast when you switch sources. The XM is soft, which is a huge complaint about the XM radio in the CT. Haven't heard of a fix yet.

Same here. If you do a search you'll find a whole thread on this and suggestions to call the Lexus 800 # and register it. Supposedly they are looking at a fix, but I'm not confident we'll see a fix.

Not only soft, but once it is turned up, the sound quality is far worse than using FM, CD, USB, etc... What's weird though is some of the XM channels sound a bit better than others (I think KIIS has the best quality out of all of them).
