Default Media Holder Review

All,

I have seen on several sites comments about the media holder for the CT. Here is my review of the holder.

Nice video. My bracket has the same amount of "play". I'm sure it has to do with the swivel mechanism; although I agree with you that the engineering design is lacking; especially for a Lexus.

Here in Australia the CT200h is supplied with a very different media holder:

Media Holder Review-media-holder.jpg

As you can see the iPhone is stored on its side. I would prefer the upright type of media holder as it would allow you to view the iPhone for such things as Trapster

I see that Sewell are coming out with their Electronic Device Holder . I wonder if this the same as the one currently supplied in the US or is something different?

P.S. our cars are RHD

That's the factory supplied Holder. I can't vouch for the rest of the country, but the Lexus Southern Area includes the Universal Device Holder with the CT at purchase. They are already in the car when it is delivered to the dealership.

The Universal Device Holder is a neat idea that is staying in the console until I find a suitable use for it.

Myersport and cssaus,

I can confirm its the same one. I didnt pay for mine. My lexus sales person was great about it. It was in the demo car and I asked before I left with my car where was it. She said it wasnt included but would get it for me since I have bought many cars from them in the past.

it is probably just accessory for US market and not factory option... thats why it is not there in Europe and other markets.

Pretty cool for the most part. I think another gripe I'd have besides the lack rigidity is the fact that it appears to hinder easy access to the seat warmer controls. It would only be an issue during the colder months obviously... but still an issue.
