Default Water-repellent front glass

Interesting that the CT does not come with water-repellent front door glass. Even the Prius has that.

I love the car, I hate that its missing such basic things to even call it a luxury car. Green interior lighting again, no ambiental LED lighting at all, no height ajdustment for manual seats, no power tele/tilt steering wheel, list goes on.

CT chassis, powertrain and body + HS optional technology would be perfect match even if it would cost more.

i barely noticed the difference in my GS350 between front and back windows, who really cares? Lot of people complained about LED interior lights... EVERYONE complained about HS fully loaded is too expensive.

i would rather they spend money on more obvious things and they did.

Now that really sucks. How much extra would have that been? $300-$500?

Mine seemed to bead up just fine in yesterday's rain. Made me wonder if there was a coating on it.

It's also listed as standard equipment as stated in the Canadian brochure as well.

Hmmmm I'll have to check again. I saw it on one of the many Lexus sites/links I've been looking at and the CT and one other was not checked off.

Does "water repellent front glass" mean that the actual GLASS is repelling the water? Or just some "premium" Rain-X sprayed on that'll eventually wear off?

The following is from the owner's manual:

Front side windows water-repellent coating
l The following precautions can extend the effectiveness of the water-repellent
coating.
• Remove any dirt, etc. from the front side windows regularly.
• Do not allow dirt and dust to accumulate on the windows for a long period.
Clean the windows with a soft, damp cloth as soon as possible.
• Do not use wax or glass cleaners that contain abrasives when cleaning the
windows.
• Do not use any metallic objects to remove condensation build up.
l When the water-repellent performance has become insufficient, the coating
can be repaired. Contact your Lexus dealer

Water repellant glass on front door windows.

You can tell the difference when you wash the car.

I squeegee the windows and definite difference between front and rear door glass. (much higher friction on rear)
