Default (2011) How do I get to the passenger side low beam headlight?

The light is buried in a corner behind tubes and metal. I can get one hand down there and it out of the socket, but no second hand to actually remove the light.

How do I do this with two hands to actually replace the light?

You will have to remove some plastic trim pieces and the bracket that holds the windshield fluid bucket (if I remember correctly). Then you can get to the low beam bulb easier. Then you need to disconnect the black wiring harness by first pressing on it and then just gently pull apart. Then turn the low beam bulb counter clockwise to take it out.

I'll try to find some pics on my old phone I took when I swapped the OEM halogens to LEDs.

UPDATE:. VIDEO ON CHANGING 2013 CT200h light bulbs:

Ah, that did the trick, getting the brackets and the big air flow tube thing out of the way let me get a second hand down there.

About going to LEDs, do you need a conversion kit or can I just plug and play like a home light socket?

Plug and play. Easy.

I've posted detailed information on this forum. I'll try to find it later. Can't do it right now. Standby please.

Update:. I found my earlier post. Please see below......

Below is my earlier post:

I bought mine here:

This is the one I would go with click below. The ones I bought over two years ago was discontinued and an updated and even brighter with higher output is below.

One of the LEDs I bought on Amazon from this vendor, Car Rover, burned out after about three years if constant use (I keep the low beams on at all times for visibility so others can see my small CT200h coming). The vendor replaced it in pair (BC the old LEDs are no longer made) with the newest and even brighter LEDs WITHOUT charge (So I got two new LEDs even though only one burned out. Needed two so that the both will match due to the newer LEDs are a lot brighter.)

See below for pics I had posted on this CT200h forum for my 2013 CT200h.......These project very far and well. I have some cut off pics inside my garage which I can't find right now. I'll post later.

EDIT: Pics of aftermarket LED low beam and fog lights cutoff below:

Aftermarket LED LOW BEAMS AND LED FOGS ON.
Aftermarket LED LOW BEAMS ON only.
Aftermarket LED LOW BEAMS AND OEM HALOGEN HIGH BEAMS ON. LED FOGs off.

More pics (links below) of my aftermarket LED LOW BEAM and FOG lights from the "DRIVER SEAT LOOKING OUT":

Below is another post I posted earlier with pics:

Here are pics I just took earlier this am before sunrise of my CT200h AFTERMARKET LED LOW BEAMS AND FOG LIGHTS from the point of view at the driver seat looking out through the windshield as one would be looking while driving.

With BOTH AFTERMARKET low beam LED and fog light LED on in almost complete darkness.

As you can see the latest generation of AFTERMARKET LED BULBS punched through very very far indeed.

I zoomed in on the pic where the speed limit 35 mph and further behind on the yellow diamond sign and BEYOND.......MY AFTERMARKET LED LOW BEAMS AND LED FOG LIGHTS STILL PUNCHED THROUGH (you can see ALL THE ROAD SIGNS AND GROUND REFLECTIVE MARKERS LIGHT UP). PLEASE see below:

As a comparison, I'll do a follow-up pic with my RX450h and LX 570 with OEM HID low beams when I have some time.

Is plug and play something new? I remember them needing a kit or something, extra wires maybe?

So the ones he sells on his site, they all look like they have a wire tail coming out instead of a rigid twist and lock like the ones in the car now.

I'm sure this has been answered already from above, but just to make it clear.

To access your high and low beams, you need to remove the plastic shroud that covers the engine bay area, it's held on by a few black push pin clips/tabs.
pop those out with a flathead screw driver then pull the shroud off.
You can then access your bulbs fairly easy.

I went with H11 fanless for low beams and H9 fanless for high beam, H11 for fog lights as well. They are "plug and play" meaning, remove the stock halogen bulbs, then plug the led bulbs directly in. IF for any reason the led bulbs don't turn on, switch them around as there may be polarity "issues", should do the trick.

Same thing for HIDs, though I did not run them, the concept is the same. I am unsure for these cars if you'll need to run a relay kit, though it never hurts. Luckily our cars don't have a wiring diagram that runs headlights directly with the ECM (no fuse), my girlfriend's car does and putting HIDS in that car was a nightmare, so I later on ran with just LED setup similar to mine without issue thus far.

Anyways, sorry about the long dialogue, hope this helps some, feel free to PM if you need anything.

Just to be clear:. I don't sell anything. I am a very satisfied customer from the vendor I bought my multiple LEDs for all my cars that needed them. He replaced a PAIR for free with the latest next gen brighter LEDs (even though only one of the two burned out over a year later) since the LEDs I bought from the vendor is no longer available as they had moved on to the brighter next gen LEDs.

The "kit" you are talking about is most likely for "HID" which required a "blast" and more headache to install IMO.

These LEDs are truly plug and play meaning take off your old one and put in the new LEDs in the reverse order. The wire harness comes apart by pressing on the protuding plastic part and gently pull apart. Then you put the new LED wire harness to the car's light harness you had just gently pulled apart by pressing together. You then "fan out" the silver ALUMINUM looking strands for heat DISSIPATION (just let it hang loose).

Some will knock on my "3C's, CCC" (Cheap Chinese Crap) LED bulbs for $59 a pair. But it works for my purpose well. Some just want to spend at least double or triple for a "name brand" bulb. Some even THOUGHT they got some fancy brand name LED bulbs, BUT THAT FANCY BRAND NAME IS NOWHERE FOUND ON THE BULB. Most likely both that so called "NAME BRAND" and the one I got rolled off the same factory. One went to the left and the other went to the right and got packaged differently.

To get to the fogs is more involved. You'll need to peel back the front wheel liner to gain access to the fogs. Not too bad. Takes about ten minutes per side.

Make sure you DO NOT touch the glass part of the LEDs bc if you do, you'll introduce skin oil onto it and will create a hot spot which will cause the LED bulb to burn out prematurely. So wear clean thin nitrex gloves of sorts. Also don't let the LED bulbs make contact with any dirt or grease as you put it into the light housing.

Make sure whichever LEDs you decide to get is FANLESS.

Good luck.
