After thinking about it for years, I have finally ordered my big brake kit for the front of my CT200h from Ceika. Obviously since it is not a performance car it is mostly for looks however I feel as if the braking performance could be improved a lot. It has been bothering me every time I look at the 10" rotors in my 18" rims how pathetic they look. The rear rotors don't bother me so much, as they are usually smaller. I am getting 14" Rotors, drilled/slotted (straight, not as shown) and 8 pot calipers painted orange to look a bit like the GS-F(even though it is just slotted, I like the look of drilled as well.) So far Ceika has been great to work with and have been very fast to answer any of my questions and concerns.
I thought I would make this post as a teaser so you guys can share in my anticipation!

Steve, will you be installing this yourself and if so/not, would you be able to post up a walkthrough of said process? I would be very interested in this myself for purely aesthetic reasons, however I would love to see how it performs as well compared to the OEM braking systems.

I am going to try to do it myself but I might get the help of my friend who is a mechanic. Regardless I will document it for sure!
At this point I am just really hoping there will be enough clearance as it is going to be a really tight fit.
i dont think it will fit with the stock wheels. you'll need some concave wheels.
these brakes are an overkill for the car though lol it's mainly for vehicles with 300+ some HP, trying to stop from 100-0 as quick as possible.

They don't fit my 18" by a few mm. They would fit some 18" but mine have a stupid flange on the inside that gets in the way. I am going to use this opportunity to upgrade to 19" as I've always wanted them. Now I can't decide whether to go with another set of gunmetal or black. Most people say I should get black but I do really like gunmetal.

Bro, take it from a guy that's married for 15 years with a car addition hobby.
If she's wife material, best let her know now what you spend on your car. She has no say in what you do with YOUR money right now. You hide it now, and she gets upgraded to wife, it's bad news. I have been spending on car mods before we met, and continue to do so now but not as much as before.
I don't think I would still be married if i hid that stuff from her, since she bought some of my most expensive mods when we were dating because I wanted it so bad but didn't want to spend the money.
And I can't wait too wineguy! I am hoping my new rims come in in about 10 days but I might have to order them from the factory if they aren't in stock. I will keep you up to date.
I have calculated the exact offset of my current wheels and the wheels I am considering in autocad to make sure the stance will work and so I can get rid of my wheel spacers. I am thinking of 225 35 r19 and 255 35 r 19 but I am doing a bit more research. I just ordered a test fit to make sure they clear the brakes. Unfortunately the process will take a while because I need to wait 10 days for the tester and at least another 10 days for the other wheels. That is IF they fit...
One thing I am confused of is that I noticed that some cars like porsche 911s have a smaller sidewall height on the rear wheels. The front will be 35mm and the rear will be 30mm. Does anyone know why this is?
Then it is because the 40 and 35 are percentage based on the width. The wider tire needs less percent to be equal sidewall height.
Oh, I understand now. I feel dumb because I thought it was the sidewall height but it is actually the aspect ratio. That makes a lot more sense because a 30mm sidewall would be pretty dang small!
