Default Adding a sub to a 2015 CT 10 speaker w/Nav

So, instead of making a new thread, I'm just deleting what I originally posted and putting my DIY here.

I installed my sub this morning. It took me about 2 hours to do the install.
VERY easy, and is exactly what the Premium system needed.

I am using older stuff that I had laying around to install into my CT, that was old even when I had it in my Prius.
BUT, it all works, so why replace it?
You'll also notice that I'm using different/wrong colour wiring, because again, it's stuff I had laying around.
Please note that anything you do is your own responsibility.

SO, to start, we need to get access to the wires on the sub.
First, take out the screws that hold the trim piece:

Pull it a bit away, and then pull the panel away, so it looks like this:

You can see the white clip we are after here:

White is positive, black is negative.

Now, I goofed with my first tap and missed the wire somehow, so you can see there is 3 taps.
But to put my low pass filter on, I tapped into the subs wires, shown here:

I had to cut the foam out to fit my amp, as you can see here:

I used this guy here as my ground:

Then pulled the panels off to expose the 12 volt battery:

Notched this section out to run my power wires:

And hooked everything up, so it looks like this:

Now, for anyone with a older amp like myself, needs to run a remote wire, I simply bought a fuse tap, and plugged it into the 15 amp fuse under the dash, that is for the 12 volt accessory. This makes it turn on and off with the cars power.
To do this, you need to run the wire from your amp to the fuse box under the dash (steering wheel on left hand drive cars at least). Pull the cover off and locate the accessory fuse.
To remove the sill plates to hide the wire, simply pull on them and they come up.

Hope this helps!

I just got info from another member. There are detailed write ups on the CT200h forums. I'm about to check them out.

I've searched there, and can only find info on the base, 6 speaker system, not the 10 speaker system.

May I ask what info it is you got from another member?

If it's not on the other CT site, no one probably has DIY'd it. Be the first and make a guide!

That's what I'm thinking as well.
Wouldn't be the first time I've flown solo.
I'm hoping to do this next weekend.
And I think I'll have to pull the passengers seat to have better access to the amp underneath it.

Only real info I've found from someone on the CT forum is that they tapped into the factory sub, and apparently it doesn't always play properly. He believes that the factory sub doesn't always receive a single.

Unfortunately this member hasn't been on that forum in a year, and hasn't replied to a pm I sent (I was hoping he'd get a email and respond to me).

I'll make a how to if I'm successful lol

Dang. I pretty much got the same info. It was for the 6 speaker. Not the 10 that we have

I plan on attacking this project this weekend.
From what little info I have found online, people are tapping the oem subwoofers lines.
So, this is what I'm going to try.
I'm also going to run a fuse tap from the fuse panel under the dash to the amp to make the amp turn on and off with the ignition.
However, I'll have to wait a few weeks before I get that part.

I will be taking pictures and posting a how to once finished.
If you would like, I can be sure to make sure you see it
