Default Dash panel trim replacement: from stock F Sport to Bamboo

The F Sport CTs are all black and silver inside. I wanted a touch of something more natural and light in color, so I decided to switch the dash panel to the bamboo option. Here are my notes and pics on this.
  • The instructions call for tape to be used to cover the top silver area so you don't scratch it when removing the current dash panel trim. I believe this is mostly for dealers, so they can lessen the chances of damaging a customer's car. I found that if you pull the panel out in a downward position and do it gently, nothing comes anywhere near the top part.
  • The panel was easy to remove and install. Carefully snapped in and out with ease.
  • If you check prices at a dealer, they may tell you that each wood-style trim panel is around $700. This is due to the fact that Lexus sells a "factory part" version of these panels for that much. These are installed at the factory upon customer request if you custom order your car. There is an "accessory" version (they are both identical as far as I know) which is sold after the fact by dealers. These will cost $200 or so, at least in my area, or online for less. (this information was provided to me by my dealer)
