Guess it's now the 4th LED I've tried and it's probably the last one before I attempt the OEM LED retrofit, but just to give you guys some cheaper alternatives and future reference

I wanted to try this one because the VLED Flank one has 4 LED facing down, which was way too bright at night

I believe with the VLED super output, this one will scatter the light more evenly and less intense than the Flank version and I was right!

the one on the right is the 360 degree one, might not be so evident in the picture, but it probably reduced the light by 10%

this is of course still brighter than the OEM ones you see on BMW/MB/AUDI but the light is white, clean and crisp which was what I wanted and it sure changed the entire look of the car at night

*ignore the shine on the bottom of the picture, it's just the camera compensating for the darkness and making it brighter than it is

got a 2014 CT200h Loaner, perfect time to do a comparison vs. the OEM version, after seeing it, I still much prefer the cleaner look of the OEM lights, I might attempt to retrofit it

I still prefer the '13 look


but 2 things I want from the '14, shark fin!


and oem led license plate lights!


compared with the VLED one (so bright!)


after comparing them side by side, it's so hard to get the diffused light pattern and ultra crisp light from the after market solution, but I'm just crazy, probably no one else will spend this much time focus on tiny lights

anyone know if the 2014 CT factory LED plate light modules would fit in my 13?

the lens will fit, but the connector is different, you'll need to do some modification
