I bought a CT200H in 2012. Based on the user manual, I should have Tire Pressure Warning System (TPWS); however, I am not able to find the reset button on my car, though the manual has a picture to show where it is. So, I am wondering if my car is equipped with TPWS. Thanks.

Yes, it does. If you reach lower than safe tire pressure levels, there will be a warning by your speedometer.

Easiest way to experience this is to deflate one of the tires, but make sure you have a tire pump handy.

Great! I am going to do tire rotation. From the manual I need to reset the system. However, I am not able to find the system reset button as the manual shows.

The button is hard to find. Its actually pointed vertical instead of horizontal like you would assume most buttons would be. It is to the right side of the steering wheel under the dash near where the foot LED is. Get a flashlight and you'll find it.

DO NOT REINITIALIZE TIRE PRESSURE WARNING SYSTEM!!!!

By pressing the initialize button, you will make the system recalculate the "threshold" at which the light will go off. (80% of current psi, i.e. 24psi when reset at 30psi)

Only time the system needs to be reinitialized is when a sensor is replaced and needs to be reprogrammed into the vehicle.

I want to reset and get rid of the warning light on the dash. Tires are OK. So why would I not want to reset, vs that remark about not re initializing it?

The warning light on the dash should go away on its own if the tires are brought back up to pressure. If it still doesn't go away, something else is wrong. Pressing the button sets the current tire pressures as the correct pressure.

This is not correct. Pressing the button initializes the system yet does not change the pressure settings.

Holding that button does initialize the system and sets the current pressure as the benchmark pressure according to page 520.

I stand corrected.... Now, I just wonder which ones it does reset and which it doesn't because I know for sure it did not used to set the "benchmark" pressure...
