Default Wifes CT took a nearly head on collision 2 days ago

Well wife was driving though an intersection and guy coming the opposite way either felt he could make the left turn in front of her or didn't see her. Hit the drivers side front and took out his front end pretty much. CT got spun around and all the airbags deployed of course. Luckily she wasn't injured, some neck and upper back pain, but nothing the ambulance needed to be called out for. Took her to the hospital anyways seeing as she is pregnant. Her and baby doing well.

Got a call from the claims adjuster yesterday and based of just looking at the damage, not getting inside to see if anything internal need replaced cost is so far....$14,006. I figure its going to go up closer to $20k since we are using a shop for repair that only uses Lexus parts. Could be totaled, but not sure.

argh! Well Toyota Celica vs CT200. Looks like the Toyota is a loss. But as long as there are no serious injuries that's all that matters.

Yeah he did have insurance, I figure just the minimum though. We have Under/No insurance coverage. If they total it we will probably look into the IS250 or 300 hybrid.

So got a total of the cost to repair from the collision center.......$20,500.00!!! That is mostly from the suspension and all the airbag items. I'm not sure if they are going to total it but it doesn't seem like they are. I rather them do so in all honesty. A 30k+ car that's been repaired at $20,500 just doesn't sit right with me.

Her and the baby are good. Got a call from my insurance today, they have totaled it. Now my only issue is trying to get some money back from when I got it. I traded in a 08 RX350 and got 6k in trade basically. Now they are only offering to give us 2k back after paying the CT off. I've get to talk to someone tomorrow about getting more, feel its going to be a hassle, though I do have a attorney for the injury claim. She did hurt her wrist and neck.
