Scratches on brand new Lexus CT (advice)
So I bought a brand new lexus CT. I haven't driven it at all and just noticed that there are random scratches on the top of the car. They're not deep enough to be felt with my fingernail but the dealer tried buffing them out without any success. They said they want to have a second evaluation but they're saying they might have to paint the scratches.
I don't know if I'm comfortable not having factory paint put on my car. Any advice or suggestions?

If your nail won't grab on them they should be able to use a compound to buff them out. Maybe they were using a polisher not a buffer?
If they're only in the clear, they can be wet sanded with 2000 then buffed.

Thanks for the reply wassa. I haven't tried anything yet. I just checked again and you really can feel the scratches with your nail. Sucks, dealer pretty much told me the only option is to repaint he roof, sand it, OR live with it. I think living with it would be the safest thing to do here.. Unfortunately.

I've got this pink stuff I got from a dealer in San Antonio years ago. I'll have to see if I can find out what its called, but it works amazing on those light scratches even ones you can feel. I've buffed out scratches from my dogs nails along the side below the rear windows in my other cars.

You are in luck, I found an old post when I had the Murano that still has the company's name, a contact POC and a number. I did try to call just to make sure it was the same company, got a voice mail, but was the same name.
You will have to order by the gallon as that was the smallest you could buy at the time. Again this was in 06, but was $25 for a gallon.
Company is A Touch of Class in San Antonio. Call 210-564-3274 and ask for Darla. The stuff is called Pink Special.

I wonder if the CT200h paint is similar to the other models? My mother drives an IS350 and hers is a tri-coat paint.
Base,pearl and then clear.
Try this out if you are willing, supposedly works really well:
