Default Plug in CT?

Anyone hear any news as to whether or not a plug in CT will be in the near future?

If anything, that would be the model I'd most want to have.

Anyone else interested in this?

Well based off previous trends. I think if there was a plug in model it would have a 8-10k price increase. And for that i would rather do a retrofit to make it a plug-in

Hmm, seeing as you said that, i guess that would be a huge disadvantage...

45-50k for a CT seems a little much.

Even so, I hope the next gen CT will offer superior mileage to any model in the Lexus/Toyota lineup. Seeing as Lexus is the flagship of Toyota, and that the Prius is the MPG flagship of Toyota, it would be nice to see the CT trump the Prius in MPG.

I don't think the CT is meant to be as much of an MPG Flagship. Otherwise they would've left the Prius setting in tact for this current CT ang get 50 MPG like Prius. It is the more engaging nature of the CT that makes it more appealing to potential younger buyers. As such, it won't have as much of an MPG focus as Prius.

CT will never trump Prius in MPG.

That makes sense, but still, what I stated was merely MY hopes.

Hehe, whether or not they come true (most likely not), is not going to be ever up to me.
