Default I want to buy CT, coming from SC430.?????

Hello fellas, my 1st post here on the CT threads.

I'm coming from a SC430 and now I want a hybrid with more room inside

Im looking at a 2011 CT200, with 29K miles....
(they are asking for about $28,000.)

Good price?

I haven't really done a lot of reading on this car (CT), can you guys list or point me out
to some LINKs on what to watch out for?

I know this car is very reliable, but I just want some heads up information just before I buy

40mpg+ is going to be great, my SC430 was avg 18-19mpg (highway).

Thanks,

much appreciated

CT WILL NOT GIVE YOUR MORE ROOM OVER A SC430.

40 mpg is real highway or city if your trip is at least 5 miles. Short hops it does not get warmed up enough to capture the advantage of a Hybrid.

If you want room and gas mileage at the $28k price range look at the Toyota Camry Hybrid. $28k will buy you a roomier brand new Toyota Camry Hybrid which will get you the same mileage and much more power.

18-19 on highway? Boy that seems low. My LS does mid 25-27 on the highway and 16 in city

My CT averages 40 combined.

Yeah FLYCT is on point but in terms of more room I would say it has more room because you can fit at least 4 adults comfortable in the CT compared to the SC.

Op should look at the ES300h if you want to stay with the Lexus brand but its a bit pricey.

the CT is certainly a great car! I just got back from a roundtrip journey to south florida and back to NJ and best tank avg was 45 MPG using SPORT MODE!!!

going from a SC430, I'd highly recommend test driving the all new 2013 ES300h first, you may end up wanting that instead....either way, cant go wrong!!!

Thanks all for the input.

I've driven the CT, given to me a Loaner Car when my SC430 is in for minor service at Lexus Dealership.

I feel that having a backseat and can fit 2 adults in the back is "a lot" of room for me!.
I've driven the SC430 as a commuter car for over 5 years now and driving the CT with backseats
was great for me (and the gas milage was great!).

I wanted to know since I don't know much about the CT200h, is that for a 2011, with 29K miles, Lexus Dealership is asking ~$28K? good price?

Also, any recalls I should know about?.... I saw that 300h, I'm not too keen on that car. I really like the way the CT200h looks and drives.

Go check out the "How much did you pay" thread. $28k seems kinda high.

28k for that mileage is kinda high, however, depending on if the car has NAV and LEATHER/PREMIUM PACKAGE then it might be on par...

I can provide a full detailed service record for you, including any open recalls, if you wish, PM me the VIN of the car

tsopranoMB,

if not up to standards, I may look for another CT thats in great shape and price range.

My first choice is the White exterior with Tan leather!

The CT is a great commuter car with great mpg's.

As tsopranoMB mentioned regarding price, if it's a loaded CT then the price might be on par but always negotiate on the price. Also if you're not in a hurry take your time and research more possible CPO CT's out there.

I've had my CT since March of 2011 with over 30K miles and so far so good...

There should be a lot of loaners coming out soon. That'd be your best bet and you'd know that it's been serviced well
