Changing out headunit for premium sound
Has anyone done it? I have the premium sound system without Nav for my wifes F-Sport and have a double din that I pulled from her RX350 that has Nav and all that. I had to get the Beatsonic SLA-82A kit that included the module to allow the amp to work with the aftermarket headunit but haven't seen if its the same for the CT. I did a search with no results.
Thanks

Head Unit is not the reason Premium sound sucks
The head unit is not the problem, it is the speakers, bamboo and resin may be green , but they are really weak and also need more amplification. I replaced the2 front tweeters, 3 front speakers and 2 front door speakers and put in a four channel amp. Now my sound is awesome!. Some people replace the subwoofer, but that is not the problem, but it isn't a great sub woofer either. The problems are the bass, mid-range and upper frequencies. The subwoof er ONLY addresses the lower 150 Hz and below frequeciens and is much overrated ,unless you idea of music and talk is vibrations you can feel instead of hear. You can prove the head unit is not the issue by playing music through the USB or AUX ports.

yeah, but she's not into changing out all the speakers like I did with my Buick Enclave. She was just looking to keep the Nav from the unit that was in the RX she had.
