I echo many members' grip about the amount of room for the left leg. When I bought my car in March 2011, it was a minimal nuisance. After two major surgeries on my left knee, it is a major problem. I can drive only for about 10 miles without contorting my knee into a very unusual position in the footwell. I face an unpleasant prospect of needing to get another daily driver and trade in my CT. I have looked at the '13 GS and there is excellent room for extending my left knee and has an auto, electric park brake which is a must. I guess Lexus could not make a manual parking brake that can be set my your right hand.

Any suggestions?

I'm 6 ft tall and fit in it fine. No issues with the knee for me
If you really can't live with it and moving the seat back doesn't work for you, the '13 GS is a great choice.

Not many nicer cars nowadays come with a hand brake though. For many, it takes away from the luxury having the hand brake there. I liked them personally, but electronic parking brake is even better (unless you're a drifter)

Why not let your knee heal. I'm 6'3" and have no issues. The newer cars are narrower the IS350 is really narrow. I would wait till you let it heal completely.
Then look at a RX or ES hybrid should be out soon enough.
