Default Installed my roof rack - Thule AeroBlade

Installed the Thule AeroBlade roof rack on my CT and thought I would share. I am very happy with the fit, I did have to move the rear bar back a little more than suggested so that the moon roof would clear but that wasn't too much of a pain.

Here is a pic of all of the goodies.

Pic of the bike in the back of the car.

Pics of the bike on top of the car with the rack installed.

Thank you. Now that I got the necessity out of the way I can start adding some fun things to the car.

I would never use roof rack (wish I had more motivation and energy), but I have to admit that looks really cool. Makes me want to go the country or a road trip.

Curious.. How much would an empty roof rack affect the fuel economy for someone who does mostly highway driving?

Thanks

Cool it looks like you are an actual real bike rider

I hope you are not one of those guys who put a rack on just to have that "JDM" look....I think that is the dumbest trend these days with everything from Civic's to Ford's sporting these racks.

As to those asking about MPG - simple physics says it HAS TO AFFECT gas mileage - anyone who thinks otherwise must not have attended college. As for how much that's anyone's guess since too many variables.

Definitely, it's called Coefficent of Drag.
my best guess would be 1-2 mpgs, but then again it all depends on the size and shape of the cargo on top of the roof..
