drag race: CT200h vs Prius

The Tortoise and the Snail
A tortoise and a snail were both racing to a delicious looking strawberry in the garden patch (they both love strawberries). The tortoise got there first but the snail pushed and shoved him out of the way. The tortoise went to the local police station to complain.
"Can you give me a good description of the snail?", asked the policeman.
"Well, that's very difficult", said the tortoise, "it all happened so fast".

How is finding 0-60 times hard to find? I just Googled it and got answers within 0.28 seconds according to Google.
There are numerous sources of data out there for 0-60 tests (here is one from Consumer Reports where they did their own testing) (times are slightly slower than what Lexus claims): http://www.consumerreports.org/cro/c...view/index.htm
According to their test, the CT is 0.4 seconds slower... I'm sure you can find other data that says otherwise.
Regardless, I don't think this is the right car for you if you're looking for a fast car. In fact, the title "drag race: prius vs CT" just doesn't sound right IMO.

Who cares it like two turtles racing.....one thing is for sure the SE/FSport handles light years better and looks ten times nicer and would murder the Prius on the track. If you were into those sorts of things.

I have 10 Prius IV and now the CT. Facts considered they say the Prius is faster, but driving it, its almost the same. I dont think anyone, other than maybe a professional driver, can really tell. What you can tell is that the CT is smoother on acceleration, that its way quieter inside, way more insulation, feels much more solid, not to mention the stock suspension is way more comfortable. I just added 18s onto the CT, which slowed down the acceleration a bit and lost about 2mpg. The Prius is on stock 16s so it does feel a bit lighter, but overall, the CT still wins hands down as far as ride and comfort are concerned.

Lexus Test Driver
i have to say, i chuckled when i read the title of the thread.
as an owner of a 2011 Prius IV, i would bet on the Prius because of the 200 lbs lighter body..
But comparing the CT and the Prius to let say, 90's Toyota or Honda i can confidently say it can hold its own.
