Depends on the country you live in and your local market. As a general rule, these cars can be bought between $4-7k off msrp.

Ultimately, though, if you've $38k burning a hole in your pocket and you really want that car from that dealer, then, by all means, bite away. :-)

I bought my CT 200h over the weekend at Lexus Carlsbad, I found a used 2015 (the guy bought it on January 31st) , 3,000 miles on it, has F package. The MSRP when the guy bought it was $35,406, the dealer was asking $33,500; I thought I could bargain it down for fun. Offered them $29,000 and they said yes right away! Now that was too easy, so I kept messing with them, seeing how desperate they were to sell. Told them I'd rather get an IS 250 or a new CT instead and I'll go home to think about it ( I also threw in the "I'm a college student" guilt to see if they would lower anymore). The salesman kept talking me into staying, so I told him to throw in a 5 year inside/outside Teflon package for me (valued at $500). They accepted! So I got the car for $28,500 and paid $31,200 out the door with taxes and fees. Pretty good deal for a practically new car? Haha

I live in Switzerland and went to Belgium to buy a 100'000km (~66'000miles) 2011 CT200h with premium sat nav and backup camera, 1 year warranty and extended battery warranty until 2021: 14'000€!!!
That's something like 15'000 $
I think I did pretty well

Delivery booked for later today. Dealership in Oakville, Ontario.

Picked up the 2015 model with navigation package for $32000 usd OTD.

Looking for opinions on the extended warranty. Worth it?

Traded my 2010 Acura RDX SH-AWD Turbo for a 2013 Lexus CT200h (base no nav) on Monday and went from getting 18-20mpg on premium to over 40 on regular unleaded, this is still unreal to me. I've owned Acura's for over 15yrs and a Honda 7yrs before that so this is my first Lexus and I'm impressed so far. I was driven to it by the 5door hatch versatility which is enough room for our 95lb great dane/lab mix to sit in the back or a quick trip to home depot.

Bought this Lexus with 24.5k ODT through the USAA preferred car buying service @ a local Ford dealer. USAA listed it at $22.4k but when I got there the sticker was just over $24k. they tried to bait switch then discounted it to the original advertised price of $22.4, they budged a little and I got it for just at $22k. With the gas savings included, I am def up on this deal!

Austin, Texas

note: I was actually looking for no Nav, I hate factory Nav's with all the expensive update DVDs, limited controls... my last car ended up being a really expensive IPhone shelf period. I plan on gutting the radio/speakers and starting over in the next few weeks with a more personalized iOS app enabled Pioneer or Alpine, subs, amps, speakers, backup camera while still retaining the USB port, steering wheel controls, etc. based on this forum i've got my work cut out for me but thats the fun part, personalization!

Bought my 2014 F Sport with 3800 miles for $20,000 cash 7/09/15. He was a consigner here in Portland Oregon and he was trying to sell it for $26,000. His ad was up for over 3 weeks, so I decided to make the cash offer of 20k. He said "no way!" so I said sure, I understand, here is my name and phone number if you decide to change your mind. This was on July 3rd, a Friday, and on July 9th the consigner "blinked". He called that morning wanting a compromise saying "how about $23,000, halfway between offers?" I said I was firm on my offer, and after about 10 seconds of silence, he said in a flat tone..."come in, I'll write up the papers..."

Trick is, is to wait them out and do your best to complain about the car you are looking at.

My strategy was to tell this Consigner that the CT200h is an anomaly and will be a tough sell. I told him that if people want a hybrid, they will buy a Prius, if they want a Lexus they will buy the LS large lux sedan. Always negotiate from what the seller paid for the car (trade in value, auction cost) up, not from the asking price down.

2015 CT200h non-nav
10,946 miles
$25587.17 OTD

Had this one brought over from Atlanta. Lexus dealer in Birmingham only had 1 in stock because of sales and wife didn't like the color. Have had it since 10-15-15 and my wife smiles every time someone says lets go somewhere. In our 2008 V8 Pathfinder she would get maybe 230 miles on a full tank in 100% city driving with the A/C on. She has already got 180 on a half a tank in city driving and A/C on. Beautiful.
