Seems to have disappeared...

I'd bet (if it wasn't just an elaborate hoax) they finished it and saw the CT get an average of 8MPG and decided to just quietly step away.

lol.

Not sure if that's true. When I was on the phone w/ Brian Fox a month ago regarding the lowering spring issue, we got talking about his car. He did claim MPG's in the 40's under normal driving. I think the widebody kit might help as the wheels are shielded from any drag on the side of the car.

Yeah, I've spent quite a bit of time on the phone with him too. If he claims it does in the 40s for MPG, I believe it.

I actually gained 3MPG on my 40 mile test driving it as I do all my cars. I get into it, cruise it on the high way, whatever I need to do. Car runs perfect so far and getting ready to head to SEMA Show in in a month. I do not want any rock chips on my $10,000 paint job so it's in our garage waiting to head west.

Remember, a claim and a fact are two different things. It is a FACT that I gained 3 MPG on my car, no question about it. Why would I lie to myself and then other about what? I have nothing to gain from it..hahaha. Duh..haha.

Am I wrong?

I have a 415 HP Mustang Cobra for my hot rod. Thats what it was built for, not as a Hybrid.
Well, I have a 405 Supercharged IS C, and a 625hp twin turbo IS F so I have some Hot Rods also. But, I did it because supercharging a hybrid Lexus was something NO ONE IN THE WORLD has done but me. That is why I did it - saw as a challenge that I wanted to conquer. Nothing wrong with pushing yourself or showing others that you can make a hybrid faster if you want.

I'm working on that but Easton still doesn't have the blower available to buy. I'm going to make a turbo kit for the CT next and I want that unit to be on the consumer market for under $6,000. I think that would be awesome, and going to take that on after SEMA when I get back here in PA.

I'd like to see Lexus build a 300 HP CT. Possibly a blown 2.0 to 2.5 or drop in a 3.0. It'd probably fit with all the Hybrid gear out.

I have NO DOUBT the chassis and suspension would handle the HP without ANY problem and Lexus could accomplish this and keep their bulletproof reputation intact.

Than I'd have one hell of a hatch with all the tech anyone could want, UNDER WARRANTY and not experimental. This build is not for me.

Oh and FWIW: IMHO the rear diffuser looks like hammered dog$h17.......on an otherwise great paintjob....

Fox Marketing seems to always disappear from a project with nothing to show but a pretty looking car. No proof of said gained efficiency and HP increases.

It's absolute bull that the car gets 3mpg better with the increased frontal area and larger wheels, not to mention the many pounds of extra weight for that widebody and bondo, and rotational mass increases of both wheels and brakes. Also not to mention the parasitic loss of the supercharger. Car should have been turboed if any sort of efficiency was the goal. My guess would be at best upper 20s on that car.

I am sorry to bring this post to life after so many years but I am interested in this built.

Well, I had Lanos ST 2 litre engine turbo charged on 480HP (28psi; 280kpa absolute), now I'm working on Astra Coupe Bertone 2 litre turbo charged engine on bigger turbo and cat cams with 650HP (32psi; 320kpa absolute).
As I bought also 2011 ct200h, I would like to see the option of turbo charging it.

As you said on a SEMMA that 5psi doesn't need any ECU modification. Well, that is correct but on 5psi you would get 130 to 150Hp, not near 300HP claimed. Can you elaborate this a bit?
Also, if you did get 300HP, how did you modify Toyota ECU, because it is nearly impossible.
Do you have any numbers of charged ct performanse or video on that metter?

Thank you.
