Default Lighting Services

Good day CL!

We have been a long time member here in CL, and a lot of you probably know who this is already. But to those who don't, let us introduce ourselves. We have been professional detailers for a little over decade, and we specialize in restoring and customizing headlights, fog lights, high beams and even tail lights. Our restoration process is nothing like what a $20 headlight restoration kit you can buy from any auto parts store guarantees to do but never deliver. We completely take apart any lighting parts that need attention. Scrape out the old glue and replace it with new glue, which is the exact same glue headlight manufacturers use, to prevent water seepage after reassembly. We can also replace any problematic parts like faded chrome reflectors, burnt lighting diffusers, etc. Once disassembled, we clean all parts with cleaning agents to remove any dust, dirt, grime, oil or contaminants. Most importantly, we sand down, buff and polish the lenses, inside and out, and the reflectors. After reassembly, we install a protective film as a permanent solution from the weathering or abrasion from foreign objects or contaminants.

Here is a link to our website for more detailed information of our respective services.

This particular headlight was fully restored, and have had a projector lens upgrade with tuning service performed on it. The projector assembly is OEM and was not changed or swapped at all.

<a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/organizedgaragestatus/21875635918/in/album-72157659670871481/" title="IMG_1968"><img src="https://farm6.staticflickr.com/5690/21875635918_18b1a9ba07_b.jpg" width="1024" height="683" alt="IMG_1968"></a>

One advantage of doing a projector lens upgrade is, since we're only upgrading the lens, we utilize the same projector assembly, so the size, dimensions and specs of the projector is kept the same so there are no gaps or spacing, and the light output angle is also the same as stock.

<a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/organizedgaragestatus/22073510561/in/album-72157659670871481/" title="IMG_1906"><img src="https://farm1.staticflickr.com/748/22073510561_91c9b7eb5f_b.jpg" width="1024" height="683" alt="IMG_1906"></a>

<a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/organizedgaragestatus/21875344920/in/album-72157659670871481/" title="IMG_1973"><img src="https://farm6.staticflickr.com/5778/21875344920_113682fce1_b.jpg" width="1024" height="683" alt="IMG_1973"></a>

<a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/organizedgaragestatus/22073504101/in/album-72157659670871481/" title="IMG_1933"><img src="https://farm6.staticflickr.com/5765/22073504101_b5fd687cc0_b.jpg" width="1024" height="683" alt="IMG_1933"></a>

Since the projector assembly is the exact same one, the rear gasket seals tightly and there's no risk of water seepage.

<a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/organizedgaragestatus/22073508411/in/album-72157659670871481/" title="IMG_1928"><img src="https://farm6.staticflickr.com/5625/22073508411_431216097c_b.jpg" width="1024" height="683" alt="IMG_1928"></a>

And the OEM level are still intact for the ease of focus adjustment.

<a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/organizedgaragestatus/21875352850/in/album-72157659670871481/" title="IMG_1963"><img src="https://farm1.staticflickr.com/712/21875352850_0ff1dbe877_b.jpg" width="1024" height="683" alt="IMG_1963"></a>

This particular headlight is equipped with 5000K 35watt HID kit for testing.

<a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/organizedgaragestatus/21442387463/in/album-72157659670871481/" title="IMG_1983"><img src="https://farm1.staticflickr.com/723/21442387463_e141f181fd_b.jpg" width="1024" height="683" alt="IMG_1983"></a>

For comparison purposes: this is the light output of an OEM projector lens.

<a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/organizedgaragestatus/22037371676/in/album-72157659670871481/" title="IMG_1884"><img src="https://farm1.staticflickr.com/643/22037371676_cb0b6890d2_b.jpg" width="1024" height="683" alt="IMG_1884"></a>

Here is the same projector assembly with the upgraded lens before our tuning service.

<a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/organizedgaragestatus/22051093752/in/album-72157659670871481/" title="IMG_1987"><img src="https://farm1.staticflickr.com/726/22051093752_2d22938589_b.jpg" width="1024" height="683" alt="IMG_1987"></a>

Now, this might come as a surprise to some but the SC's projector cut-off lines actually vary by year. Here is a 92-94 projector with the lens upgrade after we tune the focus.

<a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/organizedgaragestatus/21440711764/in/album-72157659670871481/" title="IMG_1900"><img src="https://farm6.staticflickr.com/5760/21440711764_b38a451ebf_b.jpg" width="1024" height="683" alt="IMG_1900"></a>

My personal favorite, a 95-96 projector assembly with the lens upgrade after our tuning service.

<a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/organizedgaragestatus/22037370096/in/album-72157659670871481/" title="IMG_1896"><img src="https://farm6.staticflickr.com/5783/22037370096_48ee869a2a_b.jpg" width="1024" height="683" alt="IMG_1896"></a>

And lastly, a 97-00 projector assembly with the lens upgrade after our tuning service. Only noticeable difference from the 92-94 is the patch of light on the upper left side due to an added hole to the cut-off plane.

<a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/organizedgaragestatus/21442425653/in/album-72157659670871481/" title="IMG_1875"><img src="https://farm1.staticflickr.com/609/21442425653_f723cb10a1_b.jpg" width="1024" height="683" alt="IMG_1875"></a>

For reference of what exactly did we start with on this set, and so that people would see what we are capable of doing. Here are some before pictures of the exact same headlights you saw above.
