I'm wondering this too...will this work on cars without navi built in? I have a base model with no nav and would be interested in getting this if I can play DVDs and use nav...let me know! Thanks!

Just wanted to clarify, each time to be able to use the Nav, browse mp3 folders etc, the button has to be pressed?
Can it be set for the Nav bypass to be permanent?

Yes, this will also work with cars without OEM NAV. We have a different part# for it, but the product is similar. The good thing about cars without OEM NAV that you do not have to deal with any buttons as the bypass/override is always engaged and will not affect any OEM controls for the models without factory NAV.

Please note however that since your car did not come with NAV from the factory, even with this module you will not be able to use NAV. It does not add the NAV function.

Yes, for models with NAV, each time you want to use the NAV, browse mp3 folders, etc the button has to be pressed to engage the override. Once you are done what you are doing, need to press the button again to disengage the override. This is because your car will stop on the map when you go to the override mode.

However, the DVD player will always play regardless of pushing the button or not.

Installed! Note that on the '14 GX you don't need to go further than step #8, then skip to #13 and finish. Plastic pry tools are definitely a must!! Also the instructions do not include details on the GPS override - this is key as there are actually two plugs that look identical to the GPS plug.

I installed it this past weekend on my 2014 CT200h with OEM Nav and I'm running into some problems. The DVD bypass only works when i enable the switch and when I do enable it, it only stays on for maybe a minute. The navigation also only bypasses for a minute or so. I programmed the button to have the bypass not turn off, but it's still doing it. Anybody else have this problem? Am I overlooking something?
