A few questions as we near the end:

1). Will your product mirror the aftermarket navigation screen to the OEM screen if we were to purchase a double din radio with navi function?

2). Will your product allow for the use of an aftermarket amplifier in the event we want to later bypass the Mark Levinson amp while still retaining steering wheel and video output to the OEM screen?

I want to know how tethered to the OEM amplifier / speakers i would be with the Beatsonic option at any price.

Wondering about question #2 also from 007? I'm thinking we can bypass the ML amp later but will lose the steering wheel controls.

1. Unfortunately the actual nav map on the aftermarket headunit will not mirror to the above OEM screen unless you have that video output function on the aftermarket headunit.

2. The volume up/down and fader will no longer be functional on the steering wheel controls if you decide to ditch the OEM amp and go aftermarket. You will also lose the turn by turn direction voice prompt from the OEM nav unless you keep the OEM amp in the vehicle and leave the front right speaker connected and relocated elsewhere. The mode button on the steering wheel controls for video input on oem nav screen will remain functional.

We just need 3 more people to hit $320, i think at $350 its a good deal at $320 we will be significantly below the price for individual components combined, such as nav-tv (video out), steering wheel interface, wiring harness and dash kit. With the improved equalization and crossovers of a new head unit the factory speakers will sound much better.. they should make an audiophile complacent with the addition of an upgraded sub and mono amp. there are DIY speaker foam repair kits on ebay for the SC for cheap, although black silicone works fine if the surround is only detached and not deteriorated.

I think the Beatsonic option will allow us to make a significant upgrade at a reduced cost and should we chose to go all in at a later date half of the major equipment will have already been purchased. In short, westxype add your name to the list along with 2 more friends.
