Put the D1S in. Initially looked a bit dimmer than the fake aftermarket 6000k bulbs I had in but is getting slightly brighter. Color is good - cool white (hint of blue). NOT purple.

Oh you got D1s, I thought you were getting D4s!
Yes, the Philips do have the best output for their color. So in this case you were probably use to brigthness instead of actual output which you would notice when you're driving on the road; this is where you will notice the difference.

Just an update - these bulbs have started to stabilize - nice even brightness and white color with a hint of blue as above. Cutoff is sharp, coverage is wider. I even put my old aftermarket bulbs back to compare and these are definitely superior.

I'm in the process of upgrading my car to the 2012's and I would like to replace all the bulbs including the ones in the fog-lights. I'm after the pure-white/bright but I don't want any trouble from the PD, either. Could you PM me with a recommended package and what I might be looking at - any discount for buying a package like this?
