Details:

Group Buy Ends September 20th, 2002

9 1/2-inch torque converters are backed by a 2-year warranty. Included in our 2-year warranty is one free stall adjustment within the first two years from date of purchase. Precision Industries offers the free stall adjustment as a bonus to the customer realizing that most enthusiast usually continue to modify their vehicle as time and money allows. Due to the unique design and versatility of the 9 1/2-inch torque converter the need to purchase an additional torque converter in the future is practically eliminated. The average gain on the 9 1/2-inch torque converter series is 2 tenths on 60 foot and up top 3/4 of a second on overall elapsed times in the 1/4 mile. The average horsepower gain is up to 40-50 horsepower to the rear wheels due to the torque multiplication and increased stall speed. Precision Industries torque converters are purple in color when shipped and depending on the transmission operating temperature may change color and/or the tint of the purple may change. The color changes are used to help us evaluate and eliminate any potential overheating problems the customer may be experiencing. The use of external transmission coolers are left to the customers preference but are not a requirement for using our torque converters. Note that when customers are installing non-lock up torque converters with higher stall speeds a transmission cooler would be beneficial for keeping the transmission at a cooler operating temperature.

Talking I'm in

Got an e-mail in to Steve to verify stall speed - unless 2Savvy can verify that 2,800 is appropriate???? This is a hell of a deal - almost $100 cheaper than SRT's published price.

Does the TC put more stress on the engine or the tranny since it stalls the rpms at a higher line at stops? Will this ruin your tranny faster?

I am not in for sure, but interested. So dont count me.

I'm going to verify w/ Mo, but I'm pretty sure that we offer a "triple-disc" high performance TC, which is different to the TC offered in this GB.

I did a search on the Dragon Torque converter for those who have already installed it.. These are pretty good read:

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...threadid=54667

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...threadid=48150

I might have to get one of these myself.. Just didn't know what it did till I used that search feature.. Now the trick is how do I bypass this mod from the wife..

Default An accounting error

Me too – searched and read a bunch on “stall speed”. Looks like 2800 for me – although isn’t it interesting that Precision Industries seems to recommend higher stall speeds than others? Like 3000 for NA cars?

Ken, just tell your wife that you used some accounting practices recommended by Authur Anderson and now must adjust the checkbook – it had been overstated by $859.00.

Okay I would like to inquire about the price for the triple plate version. I am going to put mass amounts of power in my car and want PIs top product.

I'd say there is no triple disc tc for the A341E. But I might be wrong ...

Btw, Hermosa ... 'mass amounts of power' sounds like forced induction. You might want to consider a lower (than 2800) stall speed?

2800RPM is the recommended stall speed by Toyomoto. If I was staying NA I would go 3200RPM.

Also, Swift Racing says there is a triple disc converter for the SC300.
