Water intrusion.....Users should seal around those LED modules

For all that have purchased the LED side mirrors, I highly recommend sealing around the inside of the led module to prevent any water from leaking in. The led module fits snugly in the cut out in the mirror cover, but there are gaps present that could lead to water intrusion inside the mirror casing.

I used Permatex Black Silicone to complete this job. Unscrew and remove the LEd module from the casing. Put a bead of silicone around the outer part of the lens and then set it back into the mirror. Follow that up with one final bead around the lens and the mirror and you should be water tight.

I just got mine installed on my RX by my friend who is an mobile audio installer
the led covers gave my RX a new look and I love the puddle light !!

Yes, it can be custom made.
