Like the fact that you used the stock air box. Why is the intake tubing made of metal (Aluminum)? Doesn't metal retain more heat than the (OEM) plastic. More heat, Less HP. Also, can you please elaborate on your independent dyno testing. Please describe your procedure and type of dyno. Open hood or closed hood. Just curious how this could increase HP. Can you post your dyno results. Thanks.

I guess you didn't do your homework. This has been discussed, posted, and proved plenty of times by Joe as well as IS-F owners already.

BTW, I haven't seen anyone doing a closed hood dyno pull.

Here's a pic of a closed hood scenerio for your viewing. I recently performed a dyno of a similar product and found a loss of HP! RPi, the shop I used, uses a Dyno Dynamics chassis dynometer to test all their products and customers cars. A 12,000cfm Patterson fan is used to simulate 70mph airflow at 8ft from the car. The thread discusses IAT (intake air temperature) as well as dyno techniques. Here's the link to the thread.

I did take a look at the thread on the is-f forum. Thanks for letting me know.

This is a thread related to the Group Buy for the Joe Z intake pipe. If you have any questions or comments regarding the testing or the product itself (not relating to purchasing this item) please post that question or comment in the relevant thread in the IS-F sub-forum, and not in this sale thread. Thanks,

Javier

Unfortunately Yes....

Good news is the next run as getting to the anodizer this week..
SO we just might get them done a bit sooner than expected..

Thank you for being patient..

So Joe should I expect my intake in about 2 weeks from todays date? How long do you recommend to disconnect the battery after installing the intake before cranking up the motor?

^^ Depending on which back order list your on....

Any new orders being placed currently will be in the 3-4 week time frame..

The next batch I am getting this week are already spoken for.

All orders will be filled in the exact order they were received by Carson.

* Battery disconnect (optional) - the amount of time it takes you to install the intake.. (5-10 mins)
