You can convert them to HID but we don't recommend it when the high beam is separate from the low. The reason is HID's have a warm up time of 20-30 seconds. The light wouldn't be there right away when you turned on the high beam because of this. Also, if you have HID on the low beam, you probably won't find yourself using the high beam as much. If you want to keep it as a halogen, the OSRAM NightBreaker bulbs will give the best performance as far as light output. We also sell Philips CyrstalVision bulbs. They aren't quite as bright as the OSRAM but a bit whiter in color.

I purchased my first set of D4S bulbs from XenonDepot back in 2007. At the time I was still using the factory 4300k bulbs that came with the car which I bought brand new in 2006. The factory bulbs died ~two years later. I installed the XenonDepot bulbs the next day. This morning, one of them finally died. This car is my daily driver so I was surprised that these bulbs lasted so long...~6 years. I just talked to Steve over the phone and he was kind enough to upgrade my shipping to 2-day at no charge so I could quickly swap out the dead bulb. I'll definitely be using these bulbs until the GS dies...which hopefully isn't anytime soon!
