could we order the blank key blade for 06-07 owners? i just wanna fill the ugly hole w/ something.

NOPE, it will only work on 2008 and newer models. I've verified with two different dealerships. Darrel can chime in and give you a better explanation.

I understand that it doesn't work. I just want to fill the gap with a blank key.

I'm sure you can buy one from Sewell Lexus. To me is not necessary, b/c I keep my smart card in my wallet all the time. No one will see the empty hole.

If you really need to fill the void on the wallet card, here is the key...


Be mindful, for those models pre-2008, we cannot "cut" the key. Notice the half size key in which only one side of the key is made to be cut. The new 2008 models have this style of key.

Yes, for your 2008 model year IS, you will have the option for adding the additional cut key to the SMART wallet card.

Just got my mechanical key today Thanks Darrell and the rest of Sewell Lexus crew. Superb customer service and fast shipping

Now the I have the mechanical key and the smart card, it loooks complete and better. That is how i feel, so dont ask why.
