It won't work because that is from 2007

Hello fellow gs members. I was wondering how you guys got the smart card programmed to the gs350? I have a 2008 Lexus GS350 awd, and I bought the (Smart Card # 89904-50642) and can't seem to program it to my car. I get as far as putting the key on the passenger seat and from there it just times out not recognizing the key. It beeps when I put the key to the start button! I even tried it with a new battery in the wallet key. SEWELL is there a different key or part # I need to order? Any help will be gladly appreciated. Also I don't want to make a $280 mistake.
