We could reduce the height of the intercooler, but I really don't want to do that as it would reduce the cross section which is critical to making sure there is no pressure drop across the intercooler. We use a large 4.5"x12" cross section core.

Thanks Rafi.

I wouldn't want to compromise the height of the intercooler, but would prefer to retain it if possible.....

If not, no big deal. Hardly use it to be honest!

Hopefully removing it wouldn't cause any dash warning lights? I'll have a look when I get some spare time. If it's just a case of unplugging it, I'd be fine with that.

You could certinly unplug it to see if you get warning lights, then assess from there.

I like this approach best, but presumably it needs to remain at the same height in order to recognise you are getting close to the vehicles in front of you? If so, there aren't many places available unless you cut into the bumper, which I don't want to do.

Going back to your earlier post Rafi, I'm happy to lose it completely. Think I may have used it twice in 3/4yrs! Lol.

Just need to see if I can do that without triggering any warning lights.

If it remains plugged in, It should not trigger any warning lights. there is space to relocate it to the right side of the grill, away from the center/left.

Update 11/24:

So just wanted to update you all on some changes and updates. Last week, we completed an SC kit installation on Aaron's 2008 ISF. Aaron has a custom lighting business (see pic of his custom halo lights below) and it was very important for him to retain the fog lights as he uses his F to promote his lighting business (Wise Detailz).

So we made some changes to the intake pipe and filter than now allow for the use of the fog lights.

Additionally, we discovered that without our oil cooler or upgraded tranny cooler, the stock grill fits without issue.

Wow! Glad to hear!!! As petty as it sounds, losing the fog lights was the main reason for me dismissing the possibility of me supercharging my F!! Guess I can start counting my extra pennies now😋!
Is that customer on CL? Has he picked the car up yet?

Car is picked up and loving every minute of it. The passenger side fog light housing will still need to be modified to fit correctly...which is something I'll be spearheading here soon.

Feel free to check out my IG @wisedetailz and my website www.wisedetailz.com

You can use the top grill, as long as you don't have our upgraded tranny or oil coolers, which forces the intercooler forward a bit and requires a mesh grill.

That's awesome to hear! I know it sounds petty like Viveet said above but retaining your fog lights is going to be a positive for I know a few members at least........

^^I had been very interested in hearing about this too. Especially from other members. If anyone has the kit installed and has some seat time with it, please share your results.

So far there is Aaron from Baltimore who has been driving it for a few weeks. We just shipped a kit to Dave from WOW auto care in Poway, Ca. He will be installing it next week and giving us feedback on the installation. Then we will ship out all the kits that have been sold. We are actually sold out of our first batch of kits, but working hard to get the parts ready for another batch in January.
