Glad to hear that the intake sound comes back with this and makes the engine sound better! Was also trying to get others opinions on this intake who have this installed, there has to be at least 20-30 F owners out there that have this intake from RR?
I don't think there is that many. Most of us in SoCal are waiting to see what actual dyno gains will come from it from the handful of members that have it. Kody, Isf4lyfe was one of the first to get it but he only drives his car 25 miles a year so we might have to wait for someone else to do it or another decade before he hits the dyno

Im still skeptical about the performace of the car when at different elevations. I live at ~1000 feet above sea level but frequently drive to areas that are as high as 4000 feet. I dont want the car to run great and pull hard when im close to home but then fall on its face when i go on a mountain run. I really wish they had a solution to this, but without running dual wideband sensors, i cant see it being done.

I live at 2300 and did a spirited mountain run up to around 10,000 feet. First, in terms of suspension compared to the TEIN CS's I had, the RR Racing Penske suspension takes the car to a whole new level. As for how the car performed with the tune and intake, even at higher elevations the car had more low and mid range power. As for the top end power, I did not feel a whole lot of gains but I kinda expected this. In no way am I disappointed. The increase in the low and mid range torque on mountain runs is great. Of course a little more top end would be nice but you can only get so much air into a NA engine. Guess I need to get the SC kit when it comes out.

^^^ thats very interesting because there was another thread where a bunch of guys from Colorado were saying that the tune was giving them issues due to the higher elevations.

I believe they were disapointed because they were not seeing gains on the top end. I never remember seeing the dynos so I can't confirm if they had low and mid range gains. Out here in Tucson all we have is 91 octane, I think the tune was more taylored for 92 93 so I have been using royal purple octane boost to help keep my kclv 20 and above. It depends on how hot it is, but it dipped down to 18 when I was running 91 added the octane boost did a couple 4th gear pulls and it went back up to 22.

More or less we're having issues with the timing in the tune causing the KCLV numbers to plummet with the thin air. The gains are still there but car occasionally needs an ECU reset to salvage the KCLV back to a 'default' level and get 'best' results before it starts going down again. We're not having issues, just not having the expected results from the tune that people at sea level are praising.
